No one was hurt after a small fire broke out at the Co-op refinery in Regina early Wednesday morning.

Co-op says the Regina fire department responded to the “non-process related” fire around 5 a.m.

The fire was confined inside a steel industrial trailer that was being used for office space.

Officials at the refinery sounded a “stage one” alarm as a precaution.

In a news release, Co-op said the fire posed no risk to the community, environment, employees or refinery operations.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
