A woman has died after being hit by an SUV near the Cote First Nation.
Police were called to Highway 8 just north of the Cote First Nation around 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday. A 44-year-old woman had been hit by a northbound SUV, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV waited at the scene for police to arrive. The driver was not injured.
The investigation is still underway, but police are not planning to lay charges at this time.
