The Regina airport saw a record number of passengers in 2013, according to an annual report released Thursday.

A total of 1,227,224 passengers flew in and out of the city’s airport, up 3.5 per cent or 41,509 passengers from a year earlier.

Domestic traffic rose by nearly seven per cent or 64,274 passengers, and international charter traffic also increased by just under two per cent or 88,732 passengers.

Transborder traffic decreased 14.3 per cent to 145,353 passengers in the same period.

The Regina Airport Authority has set a 2.8 per cent passenger growth target for 2014.
