The Regina Fire Department was busy overnight, responding to two calls.

The first fire occurred Saturday night. Crews responded to a house fire call at 9:37 p.m. in the 1800 Block of Montreal Street. There were reports of light smoke and crews found hot embers in the wall near stairs inside the home. The house had a previous fire on March 5.

Then, at 3:43 a.m. on Sunday, crews responded to a garage fire in the 2000 Block of Wascana Street. The fire began in an unlicensed vehicle next to the garage, before spreading and lighting the garage on fire.

The final inspection of both fires will happen on Tuesday. The cause and extent of damage are unknown.
