Regina police have laid a total of 124 fraud-related charges against four men and a woman.

Police say they received a report last week about a possible forged cheque that was cashed at a bank in the city.

Regina's commercial crimes unit carried out surveillance on three Alberta men, who were later arrested.

Authorities also executed a search warrant at a hotel room in south Regina that was allegedly linked to the three suspects. Officers found cheque paper, forgery equipment and drugs.

The investigation also led to the arrest of two other suspects.

Thirty-one-year-old Faysal Abdi Hassan, from Edmonton, and 38-year-old Osman Hassan Mohamed and 52-year-old Said Abdi Ali, both from Calgary, face a total of 109 charges. The three men were scheduled to appear in a Regina courtroom Tuesday afternoon.

Twenty-six-year-old Jamie-Lee Patricia Hubbard and 39-year-old Adam Duthie, both of no fixed address, are set to appear in court on a total of 15 charges on July 10.
