Craig Reynolds has been named the new president and CEO of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the team announced Tuesday.
Reynolds is currently the club’s senior vice-president and chief financial officer. He will become the second president and CEO of the Riders when Jim Hopson retires in March after a decade in the post.
Since joining the Riders as CFO in June 2009, Reynolds has helped with the team’s strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury, human resource and stadium operations functions.
He has also worked closely with the club’s football operations staff, providing forecasting, modelling and analytics assistance to the team.
Reynolds also chaired the 2013 Grey Cup operations committee, in addition to leading all aspects of the club’s involvement in the development of the new Mosaic Stadium.
Reynolds, 39, grew up in Foam Lake, Sask. and is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children.
The Riders made it to the Grey Cup four times and won it in 2007 and 2013 with Hopson at the helm.
