The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed safety Tyron Brackenridge to a contract extension.

Brackenridge will be entering his fifth CFL season after signing with the Riders as a free agent in 2011 and re-signing with the team in 2013.

Last season, Brackenridge racked up 64 defensive tackles, 10 special teams tackles, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, three tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks and one blocked field goal in 18 regular season games.

Brackenridge was eligible to become a free agent on Feb. 10.
