A couple of local hockey players will be heading to Team Canada training camp for the world junior hockey championship.

Rourke Chartier of Saskatoon, who plays for the Kelowna Rockets, and Haydn Fleury of Carlyle, who plays for the Red Deer Rebels have both been selected.  Brayden Point of Calgary who plays for the Moose Jaw Warriors will also be headed to camp.

Other big names include Dylan Strome and Mitch Marner. The two NHL draft picks were part of the 30-man roster unveiled by Hockey Canada on Tuesday.

Point, as well as Lawson Crouse, and Joe Hicketts return from Canada 's gold-medal winning team in 2015.

The 30-man roster will participate in a selection camp from Dec. 10 to 14.
