Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Weston Dressler has won a CFL player of the month award for September.

Dressler was named the special teams player of the month after returning 17 punts for 250 yards and two touchdowns in four games.

It’s the first time Dressler has received CFL player of the month honours.

Calgary Stampeders running back Jon Cornish was named the league's top offensive player and top Canadian for the month, while Montreal Alouettes linebacker Bear Woods won the defensive player of the month award.
