The CTV Hometown Tour was in Yokton on Thursday, and we quickly learned why the east-central Saskatchewan city is called the place “where good things happen.

Our first order of business was filling up at Mr. Mike’s steakhouse. After that, we visited Yorkton Regional High School, where we got to see a pretty slick student-made robot.

We also checked out the local golf course, and meet with members of the Yorkton Brick Mill Heritage Society.

The group is currently raising money to restore “The Old Mill,” which is the oldest surviving flour mill in Saskatchewan.

CTV Regina’s Danelle Boivin and Dan McIntosh broadcasted live from Yorkton tonight on CTV News at Six.

Earlier this week, our tour took us to Mossbank, Lemberg, and White City. We’ll make our final stop Friday in LeRoy.
