It’s become a holiday tradition in Regina, one aimed at keeping roads free of drunk drivers on New Year's Eve.

The city, Saskatchewan Government Insurance and Regina police announced Wednesday that the Ding in the New Year campaign is on for a 25th year.

From 7 p.m. on Dec. 31 until 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 1, Regina transit is offering free service to all passengers. Officials say more than 2,000 people used the service last New Year's Eve.

A detailed list of routes is available on the city’s website or by calling 777-RIDE.
