A 25-year-old Regina man is facing multiple charges after a police investigation into a hit-and-run on Oct. 19.

Police say the driver of a red Chevy truck hit an eastbound vehicle on 12th Avenue before hitting two parked vehicles on the same street. The driver then abandoned the truck and fled on foot.

Further investigation into the incident found that the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day. The same vehicle had also been involved in an incident in the Lumsden area.

Police were dispatched to a disturbance on Litzenberger Crescent on Oct. 20, where they found and arrested a man who matched the description of the hit-and-run suspect.

Police say Kurt Alexander Roth is facing a total of nine charges, including theft, possession of stolen property over $5,000, impaired driving, and break and enter.

Roth made his first court appearance Friday morning.
