Police are investigating after a vehicle towing a trailer crashed through a fence and hit the corner of a house, striking the home’s gas meter.

Around 11:06 a.m. on Saturday police arrived at the scene on the 3400 block of 4th Ave., but the driver had fled on foot before police arrived.

Regina Fire and Protective Services came to shut off the gas line, and SaskEnergy repaired the house’s gas meter.

The incident is still under investigation.
