A trial date has been set for two anti-gay activists who were arrested following an incident at the University of Regina.

Peter LaBarbera and Bill Whatcott are scheduled to stand trial on mischief charges in Regina provincial court on Oct. 30.

The two men were charged in April after they displayed materials the university described as "graphic" and against the institution’s policy.

LaBarbera and Whatcott were arrested after they remained on the campus despite being asked several times to leave.

Both were released from custody after the incident, and LaBarbera voluntarily returned home to the U.S.
