Two people are facing arson charges after a fire that destroyed a hotel in southwestern Saskatchewan.

Roy Williams, 46, of Swift Current and 30-year-old Phylisia Smiley of Gull Lake were both charged following the Oct. 9 fire at the Clarendon Hotel in Gull Lake.

RCMP say Smiley also faces charges, including dangerous driving and flight from police, in connection with a separate incident.

Smiley made a court appearance Wednesday in Swift Current and Williams is set to appear in court on Thursday.
