A 53-year-old Carlyle man is facing charges following a joint investigation by integrated child exploitation units in Saskatchewan and New Brunswick.

Police say the man, who was arrested Thursday, faces charges that include possession of child pornography and communicating with a person under 18 to facilitate the commission of an offence.

He is also charged with sending sexual material to a person under 18 to facilitate the commission of an offence.

The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the child victim.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance July 16 in Carlyle.
