Fire crews were battling a grass fire north east of Regina on Saturday afternoon.

Crews were called to a field north of Highway 46 just before 3:00 p.m. Officials say two wild land trucks and a water tanker were sent out to the field.

Officials say the fire began when a combine in a field caught on fire, and caused around a square mile burn.

A nearby house was evacuated, but crews were able to control the blaze.

According to the fire department, the strong winds made it difficult for crews to control the blaze.
