Four people are facing a total of 60 charges after police, including a SWAT team, seized drugs and weapons from a home in Regina’s west end.

Police carried out a search warrant Saturday at a home in the 100 block of Dorothy Street.

A SWAT team and crisis negotiators were called to the scene due to the likelihood that firearms were present, police said in a news release Monday.

Around 9:45 p.m., four people were found in the garage of the home and arrested them without incident. Police say a search of one of the men turned up six small bags of a substance believed to be cocaine.

Police also seized a substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with two shotguns, two rifles, a handgun, assorted bladed weapons, three large magazines, ammunition and a bulletproof vest.

Officers also searched a second home in the 100 block of Rink Avenue, but found nothing of note.

Joshua Lewis Daniels, 27, Arthur Peter Velychko, 34, Nathan Louie Ledoux, 26, and Jennifer Lynn Bear, 28, all from Regina, face a total of 60 charges, including drug trafficking and various weapon-related offences.

All four of the accused appeared in court Monday morning.
