Police across Saskatchewan will be cracking down on drivers speeding through road construction zones during an enforcement blitz this month.

Officers will be on the lookout for speeders in highway and municipal construction zones. Photo radar will also be used to enforce the speed limit in work zones on highways.

According to Saskatchewan Government Insurance, there were 178 collisions in construction zones in the province in 2012. One person was killed and 56 others were injured.

Drivers are being reminded to slow down in road construction zones and obey signs and flag people.
