Regina police used a Taser to subdue a man in an incident on Wednesday night.

Police went to a home around 10:15 p.m. to serve a suspect at a home on Hanbridge Crescent with a warrant. When officers knocked at the door, the man slammed the door in their faces. He then allegedly opened the door and rushed at the officers.

Both officers deployed their Tasers at the suspect, but only one of the Tasers actually hit him. Police were able to take the man into custody and he was taken to hospital by EMS.
