Regina police have yet to locate a victim after reports of gunshots Tuesday evening.

Police were dispatched to St. John Street and First Avenue North just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday following reports gunshots were heard in the area.

Initial reports suggested that a male, believed to be in possession of a firearm, was chasing another male on foot on First Avenue.

Police searched the area but didn’t locate either male.

Investigation led officers to a home on the 400 block of Ottawa Street — where police set up a perimeter around the house and made contact with the people inside — before further inquiries took police to a residence on the 500 block of Montreal Street.

A firearm was recovered from the Montreal Street home, police said Wednesday.

A victim from the incident has yet to be located.

Anyone with information on the incident or who knows of someone with injuries consistent to the event is asked to contact police.
