Ron has spent his entire life living and working in Regina. He attended Martin Collegiate and the University of Regina, served in the Royal Canadian Navy, has management experience in several different businesses and presently is employed at the Northgate Mall. Ron sees a need for better long term strategic planning and better implementation of plans. An area where new thinking is required is railroad relocation, to fit in with the Global Transportation Hub and to permit revitalization of the downtown. Another problem area is crime prevention; we need to find out where and why the crime rates are highest and find community solutions. A further problem that must be addressed is racism. Regina is a community of communities, and all citizens should belong and feel comfortable in our city. Ron will work with other members of council to make our city a better place.
