The Saskatchewan government says its strategy to reduce surgery wait times is working.
The province has set a goal to shorten wait times for all surgeries to within three months by April 2014.
Seven of Saskatchewan’s 10 health regions have nearly reached this year’s target of a six-month surgery wait list, the government said in an update Monday.
Since November 2007, the number of people who have had to wait more than a year for surgery has dropped by 82 per cent.
