A prisoner who escaped from a courtroom in Saskatchewan earlier this week is back in custody.

RCMP say Christopher Adam Miller, who is 28, was arrested overnight at a residence in Yorkton, northeast of Regina.

The Melville resident disappeared Monday from the community's provincial court.

Police had said they believed he was with his 19-year-old girlfriend, who is also from Melville.

Miller was initially arrested for allegedly breaching a court order.Saskatchewan prisoner who fled court back in custody after late-night arrest
