Our Lady Peace, Johnny Reid and Bryan Adams all took the stage for Regina Rocks on Saturday night.

The concert marked the second test event for Mosaic Stadium. In October, the stands were filled to 50 per cent when the University of Regina Rams took on the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for the inaugural football game at the facility.

On Saturday, the building was put to an even bigger test when it filled to nearly 75 per cent capacity.

Some concertgoers gave the new stadium rave reviews.

"This is electrifying to see all these fans out here, and a beautiful evening,” said Phyllis Bend. “It's just fantastic to be out here."

Concertgoer Susan Cherland said "they've done a really good job of setting it up with lots of interesting bands that should appeal to all generations."

Olivia Johnston made the trip from Red Deer, Alta. to take in the first concert at Mosaic Stadium.

"It's beautiful here. There's so many people, but it doesn't feel like it,” Johnston said. “(It’s) easy to make your way through. I love it here, it's nice and open."

But not everything went according to plan.

"The line have been a little bit long, and they ran out of food when we ordered some pizza," said concert attendee Carrie Ross.

On top of running out of food, the lineups for the ladies’ washrooms spanned well into the concourse.

"I don't think they're solving the problem of women having to wait to go to the washroom," Tammy Carstensen said as she waited in line.

With the second test event wrapped up, the city will meet on Monday morning to discuss what worked, and what can be improved, before Mosaic Stadium gets its first taste of CFL football at the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ first preseason game on June 10.
