Severe thunderstorm alerts have been issued across much of Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada says a couple of low-pressure systems over the western portion of the province will track eastward, triggering strong thunderstorms, Wednesday afternoon and evening.

The thunderstorms may be capable of producing damaging winds, hail and heavy rain, the agency said.

Regina and several other areas of the province were under severe thunderstorm watches.

A severe thunderstorm warning that was issued for the Pelican Narrows, Cumberland House and Creighton areas has since been lifted.
