The City of Regina has announced the three shortlisted private consortiums that will compete for the contract for a new wastewater treatment plant.

EPCOR Saskatchewan Water Partners, Prairie Water Partners and Wascana Environmental Partners will participate in the request for proposals process for the $224.3 million project.

The successful bidder will design, build, finance, operate and maintain the new plant under a public-private partnership with the city.

According to city documents, the two unsuccessful bidders will each be paid a $250,000 honorarium to help cover the cost of participating in the process.
