An Ituna woman was rushed to hospital in Regina Thursday after a truck collided with a train in east-central Saskatchewan.

RCMP were called to a railroad crossing near Ituna around 11:45 a.m. Initial investigation revealed a northbound truck collided with an eastbound train entering the town, police said in a media release.

The woman driving the truck was airlifted to hospital in Regina via STARS air ambulance with undetermined injuries.

RCMP and CN police were still on scene and investigating as of mid-afternoon Thursday.

Ituna is located about 110 kilometres northeast of Regina.
