Saskatchewan's Opposition says the province's only hyperbaric chamber needs to stay in a Moose Jaw hospital.

NDP Leader Cam Broten says it's not enough to keep the piece of medical equipment in Saskatchewan.

The therapy involves resting in a pressurized chamber filled with oxygen and can be used to treat carbon monoxide poisoning and help heal wounds.

Broten raised the issue in question period.

Health Minister Dustin Duncan says the chamber will stay in the province but could go to Regina, Saskatoon or remain in Moose Jaw.

He say the decision will be made in the coming weeks.
