Regina's Saturday Farmers' Market moving to new location
The Regina Farmers’ Market will be moving to the REAL District on Saturdays starting in May to make way for downtown construction.
Starting on May 4, the Saturday markets which are usually held at Pat Fiacco Plaza will move to Confederation Park every Saturday until Oct. 12.

The first Wednesday market is set for May 8.
The Regina Farmers’ Market said the decision to relocate was not an easy one but logistical challenges such as ongoing construction made it unfeasible to keep running in the space this year.
“With more than 80 vendors attending our Saturday farmers' markets during peak season, the logistical challenge of managing vendor space, customer flow, and plaza accessibility all while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment became unfeasible,” RFM posted online.
Plans are in place for alternate locations during competing events like the Queen City Ex.
The construction project at the centre of the move is the city’s 11th Ave. revitalization, which stalled out last fall over higher-than-expected costs.
“The construction, which will see 11th Avenue closed this summer from Hamilton to Lorne, is a much-needed and welcome improvement to Regina's downtown,” RFM said. “As an organization with a long history of operating out of the downtown core, RFM is excited to embrace this revitalization of our city's heart.”
