Regina's unemployment rate was the lowest among Canada's major cities in June, according to a new job report.

Statistics Canada says the city's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 5.2 per cent, a decrease of 0.2 per cent from May. About 300 fewer people were unemployed in the city during the month.

Saskatoon saw a slightly larger drop in its unemployment rate to 5.5 per cent from six per cent in May. The city's economy created about 1,500 jobs last month.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan's unemployment rate was the lowest among Canadian after dropping 0.1 per cent to 4.9 per cent.
