Three people are in custody after reportedly pointing an imitation firearm at a pair of people in Regina’s downtown Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 1:15 p.m., a police officer was approached by two people at the corner of Saskatchewan Drive and Broad Street. The pair reported that a firearm was pointed at them outside a residence on the 1600 block of Broad Street.

Regina police say they immediately set up a perimeter around the location and began to investigate the incident.

Police contacted the occupants inside the residents and four people exited the location without incident.

A search warrant was later executed on the residence and several imitation firearms were seized, according to police.

Justin Anderson, 18, has been is charged with two counts of pointing a firearm and one count of possession of a weapon.

Nathan Craig Huxted, 23, is charged with one count of possession of a weapon.

A sixteen-year-old involved in the incident is also facing charges including two counts of uttering threats, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon, failure to comply with disposition and breaching community order.
