Emergency medical services workers in Moose Jaw and district have ratified a new four-year contract.

The union representing the workers says 66 per cent of votes cast last Friday were in favour of accepting the memorandum of agreement.

The Service Employees' International Union-West says the main issue in dispute was seniority to get additional hours of work.

The bargaining committee says that's been addressed.

Other changes in the contract include improved union recognition and grievance procedure provisions, as well as continued wage parity with EMS workers in the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region.

The new collective agreement will expire March 31, 2015.
