Police have laid charges against a 15-year-old Regina boy in connection with a homicide, and a string of other crimes.

Investigators were called to a house in the 1500 block of Robinson St. at 3:35 a.m. on October 22nd. When they arrived, they found the body of a man in the house. The victim was later identified as Matthew John Wells, 48.

On the same night, police were called to an apartment on the 2200 block of Robinson St. after reports of shots fired. The balcony door was shattered, but no one was injured.

Police also received reports of a deliberately set fire, and a theft from a vehicle on October 22nd.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested without incident in connection with all of the crimes. He cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He has now been charged with second degree murder, a number of firearms related offences, theft under $5,000, and arson causing damage to property,

The teen will appear in court on Thursday, December 24.
