The 37th First Nations University of Canada Annual Spring Pow Wow drew thousands of spectators and participants this year. The event attracted more than seven thousand spectators, including the tiny toddlers. Some people travelled to Regina from places such as New Mexico and Florida to watch the performers.
There were close to seven hundred registered dancers and 27 drum groups performing at the Brant Centre this weekend. Events included a Grand Entry, Princess Pageant and a trade fair.
Organizers say that the pow wow is an amazing endeavor and a celebration of cultures. It was started by students and is still going strong.
The event is running April 11 and 12. It ended Sunday at midnight.
