Two Regina men are facing charges after a gun-related incident on the Kawacatoose First Nation.

On Sunday morning, police responded to a report that a man had been threatened at a home on the First Nation and guns were involved.

Officers found some of the suspects at a different home on the reserve a short time later and tried to take them into custody, but they refused to leave the home, RCMP said.

Additional resources were called in, including an RCMP emergency response team, crisis negotiator and canine unit.

Mounties say the situation was resolved without incident the same day, and six adults were taken into custody. A seventh person was arrested early Sunday afternoon.

Michael David Blueeyes, 25, and Ricky Charles Longman, 24, both from Regina, each face charges including assault with a weapon. Blueeyes is also charged with uttering threats.
