Plans to build a finishing line facility on an island in Regina's Wascana Lake are in the works.
The build comes in an effort to improve services for competitions on the water. The veiwing structure would sit near the south shore of the lake on Pine Island. it would allow judges to have a better view of race starts and finishes.
The Wascana Centre Authority is heading up the project, along with the Wascana Racing Canoe club, the Regina Rowing club, and the Wind On My Wings sailing club.
