It's a big day for students across the province as classes start back up for the year, but one Regina school has a special reason to celebrate.

Connaught School is celebrating its centennial this year. The past 100 years have seen several peaks and valleys, with the school slated for closure just five years ago.

But today, Connaught is at full capacity. A centennial committee has organized a full weekend of events starting Sept. 28, and the entire city of Regina is invited to take part in the celebration.
