Regina had the lowest apartment vacancy rate among Canada's major cities in April.
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. says the average apartment vacancy rate fell to 0.6 per cent during the month from 0.7 per cent a year earlier.
The average rent for a two-bedroom apartment in the city was $948 a month. That's up about $50 from the same period last year.
The agency says apartment rents also increased in all other major cities in the province.
Yorkton saw the biggest jump at 8.4 per cent. The city also had one of the largest drops in vacancies, which fell to 1.4 per cent from 4.9 per cent in April 2011.
Estevan had the highest apartment rents in the province. An average two-bedroom unit in the city rented for $1,104 a month.
