Victim's brother charged in fifth homicide of 2015

Police have confirmed a 22-year-old Regina man who died earlier this week is the city’s fifth homicide victim of the year.

Steven Blaine Pascal, 36, of Regina appeared in court Tuesday on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of Trent Mark Pascal. Police tell CTV News the two men were brothers.

The case was adjourned until June 9, when the accused will make his next court appearance via video link.

The victim was pronounced dead in hospital after police and EMS responded to a report of a seriously injured man in the 900 block of Athol Street around 2:30 a.m. Monday.
