A Canadian Tire employee involved in an incident at the east Regina location no longer works for the company, according to a tweet sent out by the company on Saturday.
Kamao Cappo was trying to buy a chainsaw from the store on Wednesday. The employee accused him of trying to steal the chainsaw and forced him to leave the store. The entire incident was caught on-video, and has sparked outrage on social media after Cappo posted the video on Facebook.
“The employee involved in the matter has not been working in the store since the incident and he is no longer with Canadian Tire,” the tweet from Canadian Tire said.
1/2 We have tried to reach Mr. Cappo again to express our sincere apologies. We take this matter very seriously.

On Friday, Cappo posted another video on Facebook of a phone conversation he had with an employee after the incident, who apologized for the other employee’s behaviour. The company says it is trying to set up a meeting with Cappo.
