The driver of a service truck escaped injury after his vehicle burst into flames on a highway in southeastern Saskatchewan.
Emergency responders were called to the blaze on Highway 39 near Midale on Wednesday morning.
Midale volunteer fire chief Laverne Hockey said traffic was backed up on the highway for a short time while crews worked to extinguish the flames.
The truck was completely destroyed, but the driver wasn’t hurt.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
