The NDP gained one seat in Regina as the Saskatchewan Party won another majority in Monday night’s provincial election.
The Saskatchewan Party still has eight seats in the city, while the NDP now has four.
Sask. Party candidate Muhammad Fiaz won a tight race in Regina Pasqua, defeating the NDP’s Heather McIntyre by 275 votes.
New Democrat Nicole Sarauer beat Sask. Party candidate CJ Katz by 675 votes in Regina Douglas Park. The NDP’s Warren McCall, Carla Beck and Trent Wotherspoon also won in their respective races.
Mark Docherty, Gene Makowsky, Kevin Doherty, Laura Ross, Tina Beaudry-Mellor, Warren Steinley and Christine Tell all won seats for the Sask. Party.
Voting results show the Sask. Party won 51 of the 61 seats in the legislature.
