Police say a man who died after he was found injured in North Central Regina earlier this week is the city’s third homicide victim of the year.

The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Wilburn Albert Campbell of Regina.

Just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of an injured man in the 1300 block of Elphinstone Street, where they found Campbell collapsed on the sidewalk.

Officers performed CPR on Campbell until EMS arrived and transported him to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers canvassed the neighbourhood for information and searched the area for evidence as part of the investigation. There's no word yet on any arrests.

Anyone with information that could help in the investigation is asked to call Regina police or Crime Stoppers.
