Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Chris Getzlaf has been named the CFL’s Canadian player of the week.

Getzlaf caught five catches for 133 yards and scored two touchdowns in Saturday’s 31-29 loss to the Toronto Argonauts. It was his seventh career 100-yard game.

The 30-year-old University of Regina product has 41 receptions and a team-leading 708 receiving yards and seven touchdowns this season.

This is the fourth time Getzlaf has been named the Canadian player of the week.

The Riders’ Kory Sheets, Renauld Williams, Tyron Brackenridge, Darian Durant, Rob Bagg, and Jock Sanders also won player of the week awards earlier this season.
