Winter storm warnings remain in effect for southwestern Saskatchewan as snowfall continues to hit the area.
Environment Canada says the storm will intensify through the day, dumping 10 to 15 centimetres of snow by Tuesday morning.
The highest snowfall amounts are expected along and south of the Highway 1 corridor, and in the Cypress Hills area. Winds gusting up to 60 kilometres an hour will whip up the snow, reducing visibility.
The agency says conditions should gradually improve Tuesday afternoon as the storm moves into North Dakota.
Frigid Arctic air is expected to sweep across the province by mid-week, with daytime highs expected to drop to the -20C range.
