The search for Carol King intensified over the weekend, and police are now treating the disappearance as suspicious. Members from the Calgary Police Service joined the search efforts, along with their specially trained cadaver dogs.
The 40 year old Herschel resident has been missing now for more than two weeks. Investigators have been searching specific areas around Carol King's home, the slough where her vehicle was located, and surrounding areas.
Calgary police and two cadaver dogs named "Gary" and "Sully" joined the search on Friday. The dogs have special training and can detect the presence of a body which has been buried. Based on the information collected so far in their investigation, RCMP believe King's disappearance is suspicious.
Search efforts are expected to continue next week. If you have any information about this case, you are asked to contact police.
