Leanne McKay is born and raised in Regina. She brings 62 years of life experience and 40 years experience with NGO, Non-Profit, and grassroots community-based organizations. Her focus is on city services consumed universally by all citizens in Regina – Water, Garbage, Streets & Sidewalks plus Parks. Affectionately known in some circles as “The Poo Lady”, McKay is a voice and advocate for the everyday people. She is a voice of reason and common sense. McKay is retired, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who wants to make this city a safer, cleaner place especially for seniors and children. She is a graduate of U of R 1988 – BA(Distinction). She worked 12 Years as a Journalist/Broadcaster including CBC Radio in Regina. Of the people – for the people – and by the people. Leadership is about submission to duty – NOT elevation to power.
