RCMP confirmed that the remains located on Saturday afternoon near the community of Herschel, Saskatchewan are that of Carol King. The identity was confirmed through dental records. Kings family has been advised of the news. The death is being treated as suspicious.
Originally, the sister of missing Herschel, Saskatchewan resident Carol King, was supposed to fly back to the East Coast today.
Instead, she's staying in Saskatchewan, to help with final arrangements for her sister.
Brenda told CTV News the human remains found over the weekend are in fact those of her sister Carol King.
Missing since early August, Carol's car was found on August 10th in a slough. Just six kilometres away, her remains were found at an abandoned farm yard.
Brenda King got confirmation this afternoon while preparing to fly out of Regina. She is now on her way back to Herschel.
